Nuked
a moon full of stars and astral cars
[OVERVIEW]
At first glance, Uxie appears to be entirely outclassed by other Psychic-types such as Mew and Tapu Lele. However, Uxie's combination of Trick Room, Stealth Rock, and Memento gives it a defined niche on Trick Room teams, as it's able to compress roles very efficiently by acting as a Stealth Rock setter and Trick Room setter while being able to provide its team members valuable momentum with Memento. Uxie's fantastic defensive stats also allow it to survive almost any hit and set up Trick Room in most scenarios. Despite this, Uxie is only viable on dedicated Trick Room teams, as it's completely outclassed by other Psychic-types such as Mew and Latios on any standard team. Uxie is also extremely passive, as it's unable to do much damage because of its pathetic offensive stats and because it usually can't afford to run an attacking move. Uxie also faces some competition from Bronzong, which can also set up Stealth Rock and gain momentum with Explosion, but Uxie is usually the better choice because of the setup opportunities it gives with Memento.

Moves
========
Trick Room makes slower Pokemon, such as Crawdaunt and Mega Mawile, go first against faster attackers such as Greninja and Tapu Bulu. Stealth Rock is Uxie's niche over other Trick Room setters, providing key role compression. Memento is used to give Pokemon such as Alolan Marowak a chance to set up with Swords Dance, and it also ensures that a Pokemon can come in without taking damage. Magic Coat is the main option in the last slot, as it allows Uxie to bounce back Spikes from passive Pokemon such as Ferrothorn, as well as preventing double Taunt from Pokemon such as Tapu Fini. Skill Swap is also a viable option, removing abilities such as Skarmory's Sturdy and allowing Uxie to set up Stealth Rock on Mega Sableye.
Set Details
========
The given EV spread makes Uxie extremely hard to OHKO with special and physical moves. For example, Uxie is able to live Choice Specs Gengar's Shadow Ball, Alolan Marowak's Shadow Bone, and Landorus-T's Supersonic Skystrike. 0 Speed IVs are used to allow Uxie to outspeed as many Pokemon as possible under Trick Room. Uxie's only ability is Levitate, which gives it a somewhat useful Ground-type immunity. Mental Herb is used as a one-time buffer against Taunt.
Usage Tips
========
Uxie should usually set up Stealth Rock first, over Trick Room, in order to preserve Trick Room turns, but if you're facing a Pokemon that can 2HKO Uxie, such as Hoopa-U and Greninja, prioritize setting up Trick Room first. Magic Coat shouldn't be used against Stealth Rock setters such as Landorus-T, as they can predict it and just attack Uxie, but it should be used against common Spikes setters, such as Skarmory and Ferrothorn. Preserving Uxie to set up Trick Room later in the match usually isn't worth it, although if it can be done without letting a teammate take too much damage, you can do it.
Team Options
========
Uxie is only viable on dedicated Trick Room teams, so powerful, slow wallbreakers such as Crawdaunt, Reuniclus, Alolan Marowak, Tapu Bulu, and Mega Mawile make for good teammates, as they can take advantage of Trick Room to the fullest potential. Uxie is usually only setting up Trick Room once a match, so other Trick Room setters such as Magearna, Cofagrigus, and Cresselia also make for good teammates.
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
Uxie has a large movepool with a lot of utility options, but most of them are impossible to fit into a moveslot due to the nature of Trick Room.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Powerful Wallbreakers**: Mega Heracross and Hoopa-U easily OHKO Uxie with Pin Missile and Hyperspace Fury respectively. Other Pokemon that can 2HKO Uxie such as Ash-Greninja, Alolan Marowak, Mega Charizard Y, and Bisharp can easily dispatch of it.
**Mega Sableye**: Mega Sableye is capable of bouncing back Stealth Rock and Memento thanks to Magic Bounce, but it can't stop Uxie from setting up Trick Room and must be wary of Skill Swap.
