<p>This set really showcases Goomy's true niche: trapping. Although we worship Goomy, it is not the best Pokemon out there competitive-wise. Toxic and Infestation pair together very well, making it difficult for Pokemon to survive the torment. Protect aids to the Trap-Stalling. Dragon Pulse is a reliable STAB move to fall back on incase it gets Taunted, while slowly withering away the opponent even faster. Goomy is most likely going to be running a Specially Defensive spread, and this is the most effective way to do so.</p>

<p>Our poor little savior has many flaws. Physical Pokemon spell doom for Goomy. Taunt also halts its Stalling, which is the main niche to use Goomy. Fairy-types such as Spritzee and Swirlix also ruin its day, walling it completely, although they do not enjoy Toxic. Toxic Spikes hurts it a great deal, as it will be trying to stay alive as long as possible. Goomy must be vary careful, as it can very easily be set up on. Finally, Poison-types such as Croagunk infinitely wall Goomy, as it can do nothing in return but be attacked or set up on.</p>
