500 games complete, less than 40 left to go. Time for my last statsposts before the last results come in.

At this point, we actually have some clear-cut results:

First of all, I'd like to be the first to congratulate US Northeast on qualifying - it's been a very close race, but at 33 wins, there aren't enough games left for them to fall out of the top 8. US South and India both have only 1 win left to make that 33 win threshold, but even at 32 wins each the model is quite comfortable saying they've made it in.

Unfortunately with the good comes the bad, United Kingdom have now been knocked out of the running entirely :( Meanwhile, teams in 12th place and lower now are fighting not to be relegated. Italy and Oceania will both have to fight extremely hard for that, but if luck is in their favour, ending on equal scores could let all of them in.

In the middle of the pack, we've got Germany through to Brazil, who all have a chance of making playoffs. Benelux has only 1 game left to play, while the others could all overtake them if they lose this last game. Brazil especially has the potential to get all the way to 34 wins, but with 7 games to go it'll be a tough path to victory. These teams need to not only fight for playoffs, but also be careful of getting relegated. With such a densely packed midfield, a couple unlucky games could swing you from one extreme to the other.
