Compression of a gas/liquid into a solid, upon which it causes a chain reaction that forces the particles against each other resulting in an explosion. Whether that makes sense or is even plausible I don't know, but we're talking about a floating orb of gas that shoots poison balls.
Still doesn't sound like something you'd want to throw into a microwave. Especially since compression tends to make things a bit more flammable.

God damn, take out some level up move, I mean what is the max number of level up moves a pokemon can have?
 
CC no way no how. Also before you make egg moves, where are they going to get them from? Shadow Claw = nono(where are the claws/sharp nails/etc). Aura sphere I can understand, but a bit effy. And cross chop is a no. His hand would fall off! Sand tomb, this attack has nothing to do with tombs, its just quick sand. Pound = o.0.

EDIT: Keep in mind this thing is defensive, and it shouldn't have all the top notch up-to date attacks. If it were up to you this thing would have...

But then, where does the lighter come from? Weezing has to internally generate those high amounts of heat. And then: *Kablam!* =P
 
I think that the Pre-Evo should be like an orb covered in toilet paper or whatever it really is =P.

This way we can rid of egg moves like close combat, and such.
 
He has his own Pokemon. He keeps a pocket Chimchar for just such an occasion.

I feel it can fit in perfectly flavorwise. The chance to increase all stats is kinda nice too. :P

resubmitting my movelist, even though deck's seems generally preferable. also, moves like sand tomb make sense to me. TOMB. TOMB. that's enough reason. and agreeing with ancient power being in the move set. any comments, suggestions? i'd like to make this as good as possible, a competitive list. help me out :-D

Anyways, I don't like the idea of getting rid of all BP 100 moves just because it's defensive.

I do however think we should be rather limited with them, and only use them if they truely fit with the desgin. CC (both of them), I feel don't truely fit, although, Cross Chop does more than Close Combat.

And I think the thing should get Ancient Power and Ominous Wind. There's no real reason for it not to get both. Also, CM should be an option. I think I'd have the patience to have a Calm Mind after being in a tomb for a century or two.
 
Get rid of Trick Room. We gave this low speed to cripple it, not to make it better under the effects of a move it could set up.

You don't need Rest as a level-up slot. IMO, level-up moves are more moves that make sense thematically, and I don't see how this learns Rest through level-up, even though everything learns it. Same with Sleep Talk.

False Swipe makes little sense. It has no claws to swipe with.

Also, if we give it Nightware, we should go with Moonlight over Morning Sun. It makes more sense, as nightmares == sleep == moon =/= sun.

Plenty of Pokemon have TMs as level up moves. Rest and to a lesser extent Sleep Talk make perfect thematically. False Swipe was mostly filler, since it didn't really matter if something can learn competitively useless TMs, and it can still slap Pokemon with it's bandages.

Trick Room is debatable. I figured it could give Curse a use over Bulk Up on some gimmick sets, and it works with the idea of a booby trapped Pyramid.
 
i'm actually posting to say i don't think it should get the elemental punches...this thing doesn't look like it could have anything to do with the elements physically....some special moves, maybe, but even there...

just my thoughts...

@ dane: being part ghost, this thing can't curse like the usual sense of the word. it'll lose half it's life and inflict a curse on the opponent

And why can this get Frustration, but not Return? Or... was that intentional?

EDIT:

@Dane: You seem to be forgetting that this is a ghosty, and Curse is the (-50% damage once, opponent loses 25% til they switch or die) move on ghosties. It's easy to forget.

I figured Mummies in movies are always mad, so they should get Frustration.

As for WoW, there are enough reasons against it, and the only real reason for it is "All other Ghosts bu Froslass get it". Well, if Froslass would melt, he'll burn.
