Support Dark Arceus @ Dread Plate
Trait: Multitype
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 SpD
Sassy / Careful Nature
- Recover
- Payback
- Flamethrower / Magic Coat / Roar
- Will-O-Wisp / Roar

The point of this set is that it can defeat Mewtwo regardless of the weather. while +1 Aura Sphere still does 63.5% - 75.2%, Payback will always OHKO it after Stealth Rock. Outside of that, its your average support Arceus thats specially defensive.

I'll nitpick the other stuff later, but sadly I think you may have a lot to add!

I don't see why Dark would like to run a Refresh set. It's "only" 3 resistances are very common. Steel alone is everywhere (Dragon resist anyone?) and because of that a lot of fighting attacks (Aura Sphere, Brick Break, Focus Blast, etc) are also used.

Tried Theorymon's Dark Arceus set and it is worth an analyses in my opinion, not like it matters to Theorymon but I like to support the usefulness of his set.

It's one of the best Mewtwo checks out there, well Aura Sphere sort of almost kill it but you will KO Mewtwo in return. I will like Stealth Rock to be slashed in though in the last slot for the Support Dark Arceus set because it works well. Most people don't even expect it coming from Dark Arceus LOL Also Dark Arceus beats Dark Arceus with Perish Song so it can fit in some stall teams to check it.

Dark Arceus runs a mono attacker set simply because it can trample some stall teams, Classic Stall from gen 4 has no hope of breaking it at all while if you noticed, Jibaku first used it to wreck my older Gen 5 stall team. It's a 100% sweep against Classic Stall so it has a lot of merits, although it sucks vs Steels, Ferrothorn is the only COMMON one that gives it trouble. Jirachi doesn't resists Dark, Forretress can't do anything to Arceus while Skarmory/Dialga can just Roar/Whirlwind. Bulk Up Dialga happily owns Dark Arceus though.

Since stall rely on Toxic to break Arceus, Refresh solves that problem. Dark Arceus also lacks many common weaknesses like Dragon Arceus, and doesn't fear Reshiram to death like Steel Arceus. Steel as a sole attack also has a lot of things resisting it, Ho-Oh, Zekrom, Reshiram, Kyogre and Dialga, all common Pokemon in Ubers.

The only common users of Aura Sphere cannot switch in on Dark Arceus at all. Mewtwo can't come in, Palkia still loses with Aura Sphere and non Specs Dialga can't touch Arceus. Scarf Aura Sphere doesn't even 2HKO Arceus. Brick Break is so uncommon and it doesn't 2HKO Arceus, who uses Brick Break in Ubers? Focus Blast is inaccurate and Dark Arceus still loses to Darkrai anyway. Also Focus Blast isn't that common, who commonly uses it besides Darkrai?

Looks a lot like Umbreon on steroids (and a reliable recovery move). I'm liking this one

our good friend named Arceus needs some love
so i'll give it this stamp, go back to above

add etc. add paragraph tags to the lower sections

I have an issue with referring to Arceus (or any godly figure, for that matter) as capital-him / capital-his / capital-he, especially since "it" is used throughout the rest of the analysis. I made changes accordingly.
-remember to keep gender consistent. There are more "it"s, so I changed the stray "he"s to that
-also make sure you write out -type. not Ghosts, but Ghost-types
-iirc it's best not to refer to "previous" set and stuff since there is a chance the order will change, etc.

[Overview]

<p>Arceus, with the power of the forbidden Dread Plate, can pass unholy Judgments upon the opponent's Pokemon as they tremble before the Original One's wrathful figure. This warped Arceus scoffs at the numerous Psychic-types that infest the Uber tier before either swatting them down with Judgment or boosting with Calm Mind as the opponent fails to damage Arceus. The Trainer that commands Arceus in his Its Dark forme can feel confident that stall teams will have trouble handling It it, as It it can Recover off the weak passive damage and Refresh away the pesky status effects that annoy other bulky stat boosters. However, Dark Arceus has its flaws; it cannot stand up to the heroic blows from Fighting-type Pokemon or the brutal stings of Bug-types. Nevertheless, any team that wishes to succeed in the Uber tier must always prepare for Dark Arceus's wrath, or He It shall eradicate your team with His Its wicked Judgments in the blink of an eye.</p>

[SET COMMENTS]

<p>At first, Dark Arceus may at first seem outclassed by other Arceus formes such as Ghost Arceus, but Dark Arceus's STAB Judgment is resisted by only three types, and no Pokemon are immune to it., while no type is immune to Dark. For this reason, Dark Arceus does not need to run a second attacking move like the Ghost forme must, but instead can run both Recover and Refresh to break stall teams that rely on passive damage and status effects to do damage. Dark Arceus does not worry about Toxic Spikes because it can just Refresh the Toxic away. 252 HP EVs give Arceus a massive 444 HP, while its 120 / 120 base defenses allow it to shrug off the weak attacks that stall teams normally carry. The 252 Speed EVs allow it to tie with other Arceus formes that run max Speed,[remove comma] and Calm Mind alongside them.</p>

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

<p>Dark Arceus is often compared to Darkrai, the only other mono Dark-type commonly seen in Ubers. However, the two Dark-types have entirely different functions: Dark Arceus is a bulky stallbreaker,[remove comma] while Darkrai is a frail Nasty Plot sweeper. Arceus can run Focus Blast or a Fire-type move, but his its niche is Refresh,[comma] and not using it makes it much more difficult for Dark Arceus to demolish stall teams. Calm Mind Mewtwo and other special sweepers pair well with Dark Arceus because Arceus can take out bulky Ghosts and Psychics Ghost- and Psychic-types, such as Lugia and Giratina-O, which who would normally stop a Mewtwo sweep. Dark Arceus also appreciates Stealth Rock support to wound Ho-Oh (normally a Dark Arceus counter),[comma] which otherwise cannot be 2HKOed by an unboosted Judgement. [the change in negativity from your original more strongly emphasizes the appreciation of Stealth Rock support] who can be 2HKOed after Stealth Rock by an unboosted Judgment. Forretress is a good choice for this because Dark Arceus can take out the Ghosts Ghost-types that can block Forretress's Rapid Spin. Defensive Kyogre is also a good teammate for Dark Arceus, as a bulky Kyogre can defeat Heatran, Ho-Oh, and Blaziken, who which would usually stop this set cold. Arceus also appreciates Toxic Spikes, which eliminate Blissey and Chansey without Heal Bell or Aromatherapy.</p>

[SET COMMENTS]

While the Calm Mind set attempts to break down opposing stall teams with incredible bulk and Calm Mind, this set checks some of the ferocious Special special attackers of the Uber tier, most notably Mewtwo. Support Dark Arceus in Ubers plays much like Specially Defensive Jirachi in OU; it switches in one some threatening Special threats and forces the opponent to switch.[period, I'm assuming?] A Calm Mind-boosted Aura Sphere from Life Orb Timid Mewtwo only does 63.5% - 75.2% to a Specially Defensive Arceus, while a Payback will always KO Mewtwo back after Stealth Rock damage. Even if Stealth Rock is not on the field, Arceus still OHKOs Mewtwo (after a round of Life Orb recoil) 43% of the time with Life Orb recoil and Mewtwo will have to sacrifice itself in order to land a second attack on Arceus. Recover is rather obvious on a supportive Arceus; it's a reliable recovery technique and allows Arceus to wall threats consistently throughout the match. Payback is a powerful STAB move that hits most Uber attackers on their weaker Defense and obviously damages Mewtwo greatly. while obviously damaging Mewtwo greatly.
make a new paragraph and add tags accordingly
The third and final fourth slots are up for grabs. Flamethrower is recommended, as it can roast Ferrothorn,[comma] which who laughs at Arceus's weak Paybacks. Magic Coat is the second option on Arceus. With a bit of prediction, Magic Coat can stop the opponent from landing a status move or an entry hazard on Arceus, instead sending the hindering effect back at the opponent. Magic Coat, aside from cleric support, is the only way to keep Arceus free from status for this set. Remember though, most Arceus already carry Refresh,[comma] so unless the opponent knows that Arceus is not the Calm Mind variant set,[comma] they probably will not want to status Arceus. Roar provides general utility, shutting down stat-boosting opponents and racking up entry hazard damage on the foe. The final slot should go to another utility move. Will-O-Wisp gets special mention here, as it cripples Physical physical attackers that want to prey on Arceus's more Specially Defensive set. Roar is always worth using if Will-o-Wisp's accuracy and situational utility is off-putting. If your team lacks a Stealth Rock user, Arceus can always support the team with it; this Arceus, fortunately, does not possess the four-moveslot syndrome that the previous mono-attacker set has. The choice of item is obvious, and the nature Nature depends if you are using a special attack or not. If so, you are, then Sassy is the best nature for Arceus, otherwise use Careful so you don't detract from Arceus's great Speed.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Again, it's tempting here to compare Arceus to Darkrai, but even though the two Pokemon possess the same typing, their roles are completely different. This Arceus is also different than the previous Calm Mind set; while the previous that set attempts to break classic stall teams, this Arceus is rather effective on a stall team. Arceus It can dispose of a major threat to stall teams, Calm Mind Mewtwo, no matter what as long as Aura Sphere does not score a critical hit or the opposing Mewtwo is using the rare Focus Blast. One must remember that this Arceus set is not very powerful at all and has no way of boosting its offenses, so it's disadvantageous to rely on Arceus to deal much direct damage to the opponent. However, this Arceus boasts mammoth 444/286/363 defenses that are sure to cause switches, so entry hazard support is welcome. Ferrothorn and Forretress are natural candidates for partners, but Ferrothorn shares the Fighting-type weakness with Arceus and Forretress is also easily set up upon, so it's important to have a Pokemon that can handle setup sweepers and Fighting-types Fighters. Lugia works well with Forretress [?? do you mean Ferrothorn? because you mention that a Fighting-type resistance] in particular, as Lugia 4x resists Fighting-type moves and has the bulk to take many Bug-type attacks that come toward Arceus. Groudon is a good partner as well because it can take on Pokemon that switch in on Arceus such as Bulk Up Dialga and Choice Scarf Terrakion, and it powers while powering up Arceus's Flamethrowers if Arceus chooses to run the move. Perish Song is an interesting choice for Arceus, especially on a stall team. Perish Song can provide insurance against the first Calm Mind Dark Arceus set and other Calm Mind stallbreakers such as Heatran that stall teams commonly have trouble with. Blissey, though they share the sharing a Fighting-type weakness, is a good partner to provide Aromatherapy support,[comma] as this Arceus hates status. Really, any Pokemon that can capitalize on a defeated Mewtwo makes a good partner for this Pokemon.

[Other Options]

<p> Arceus has a gigantic movepool, but not many other moves fit well on Dark Arceus. Focus Blast gives it virtually unresisted neutral coverage, but Dark Arceus already has bad four-moveslot syndrome and needs Refresh to fulfill its role as a stallbreaker. Fire-type moves also take out the Steel-types that resist Judgment, but most Steel-types cannot harm Dark Arceus very much anyway. Will-O-Wisp can punish physical attackers that prey on Dark Arceus's weaker Defense stat,[comma] but Arceus shouldn't dedicate a moveslot to such an unreliable move. Roar and Reflect are in a similar vein; they are good moves, but Arceus cannot really afford to give up Refresh for them. The support Support set can run various moves, as its job is to support the team and it possesses numerous moves to do so. Roar is a great move for disrupting the opponent and forcing out set-up sweepers, so if Flamethrower and Will-O-Wisp aren't needed than Roar is the move to use. Stealth Rock can be placed on Arceus so its teammates don't have to dedicate a moveslot to it; however, note how valuable each moveslot is to Support Arceus and missing out on Roar, Magic Coat, or Flamethrower can diminish Arceus's value on a team.</p> [I feel like a lot of the OO is reiterating Support Arceus's AC, but I guess there's not much else you could write]

[Checks and Counters]

<p>However, Arceus-Dark remove hyphen has numerous checks and counters that can stop it rather easily. Ho-Oh is a popular counter to Dark Arceus as long as Stealth Rock is not down on the opponent's side of the field. If Stealth Rock is down, Ho-Oh will be 2HKOed by Arceus's Judgment, but otherwise will 2HKO Arceus with Sacred Fire or Brave Bird. If, for some reason, Arceus lacks Refresh, Blissey and Chansey will destroy Arceus with Toxic. Either way, Snatch Blissey or Chansey will always beat Arceus. Fighting Arceus can easily set up on any Dark Arceus or simply destroy it with super effective Judgments. Blaziken can do the same, but cannot switch in as often because of a lack of recovery and frail defenses. Lucario and Terrakion do the same unless Arceus has Will-O-Wisp, and Heracross will always beat Arceus because of Guts. Skarmory cannot beat Arceus one-on-one, but Skarmory resists Arceus's Judgment and can force a switch phaze with Whirlwind. Ferrothorn can wear Arceus down with Leech Seed, but Arceus will still win one-on-one by Recovering recovering the damage. Brick Break Dialga will resist resists Judgment and heavily damage damages Arceus, and Darkrai can switch in on any move (besides a rare Focus Blast) and put Arceus to sleep with a faster Dark Void. Taunt Heatran can stop all of Arceus's moves besides Judgment, and proceed to burn it or Toxic it. Scizor can wear Arceus down with U-Turns and Superpowers, and Calm Mind Rest Kyogre can set up alongside Arceus and wear it down with rain-boosted Surfs or Scalds.

The Support support set has more counters, but that is because it Support Dark Arceus serves a specific niche of countering an opposing Mewtwo while still disrupting the opponent's team. Standard counters such as Terrakion will not want to switch into Arceus because of Will-O-Wisp, but once Terrakion is in it will destroy Arceus with Close Combat. Heracross can switch into Will-O-Wisp,[remove comma] but takes heavy damage from Flamethrower. Kyogre doesn't really care for burns and can 2HKO Arceus with a Specs boosted Surf, Hydro Pump, or Water Spout. However, Choice Scarf Kyogre cannot 2HKO Arceus with Surf, and needs to be at about 80% health to 2HKO Arceus with Water Spout. Blaziken just laughs at Arceus's weak attacks and sets up Swords Dance or outright KOs with Hi Jump Kick. Darkrai can outspeed Arceus, will not take not taking much damage from its attacks, and use Dark Void on it. Afterwards, Darkrai is free to set up a Nasty Plot or just 2HKO Arceus with unboosted Focus Blast. Most Pokemon can switch in on Support Arceus freely because its strongest attack is a 50 Power Payback from an uninvested Attack stat. </p>

I will implement that GP Check soon (it's late now). This analysis is about to be completed, so if there's any more input please make it now!

On the support set, Punishment deserves a mention. In DW Ubers, it can really help counter common Latias/Latios variants. Substitute is also better than Refresh in some situations, especially when Dark Arceus is paired with a Tentacruel that can absorb T-Spikes. Another benefit of Substitute is that Dark Arceus doesn't need any speed, and it can also take the occasional Terrakion CC and revenge. Dragon Tails also don't break subs. I find this set allows you to setup easier and sweep longer:
Arceus-Dark @ Dread Plate Trait: Multitype
EVs: 252 HP / 76 Def / 4 SAtk / 172 SDef / 4 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Judgment
- Recover
- Calm Mind
- Substitute

Just one little nitpick here in the first sentence of the counters section:

However, Arceus-Dark has numerous checks and counters. Ho-Oh is a popular counter to Dark Arceus as long as Stealth Rock is not down on the opponent's side of the field.
Since you are starting a new section and paragraph there and there is nothing coming before that sentence. "However" is a bit like a conjunction in a way, since you are relating two sentences together. You can't use it when there is no sentence before it, so just remove it.

" Brick Break Dialga resists Judgment and heavily damages Arceus"
I'm pretty sure Arceus is too bulky to fall to unboosted Brick Breaks lol. Change to BU Dialga. Also add Excadrill as a check.

Just wondering: What, exactly, can Snatch Chansey do to Arceus? Nothing's happening if you repetitively Snatch their Recovers, and they'll be able to Recover off your Seismic Tosses when you attack. I understand you can Snatch it's CMs and wall it, but other than that, I don't get it.

Oh well, I run Perish Song Grass Arceus, BU Dialga, and Ferro too.

How much does a +2 Judgement deal to SpDef Dialga?

Well for Darkceus in particular, Snatch prevents it from using Refresh, so chansey comes in, hits it with Toxic then proceeds to prevent it from Refreshing it off and Recovering is difficult since Chansey can just steal that too. As for your other question use a damage calculator to figure it out.

Mention Punishment on the Support set. It helps to take out Calm Mind users such as Grass Arceus, Kyogre and Giratina-O in a few hits, depending on the boosts they accumulated.

I remembered Jibaku said Support Dark Arceus sucks because Psychic Arceus does better in stopping Mewtwo. Mewtwo can only hurt Psychic Arceus in the sun and it must have Fire Blast. Dark Arceus just gets blasted by Aura Sphere.

I will wait for his comment on this before uploading.
