It seems there is so much that can be done...but not many people know this forum. Maybe you should make it more obvious than it is right now :D

no mentioning of UTurn on specs meloetta?
can be useful for gaining momentum instead of being locked into a move where you do no damage.

I hope I didn't mess up with something. It's my first post, after all...

Dragonite (Dragon):

Dragon Dance.

Dragonite @ Lum Berry
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
- Extreme Speed

Alternate moves: Fire Punch over Earthquake, Dragon Claw over Outrage.
Fire Punch should be used only if a Dragon team has already two Ground-type move wielders. Dragon Claw is more for Weakness Policy variant (see below), as Outrage's drawbacks are nasty for such set.

Alternate item: Weakness Policy.
Use Weakness Policy at your own peril. It makes Defog support mandatory and/or Dual Screens set to somewhat compensate for the situations where Stealth Rock wasn't cleared away. It's dangerous against more offensive teams, and if played right, it grants either two Dragon Dances (+2 Attack; usually if Weakness Policy wasn't triggered and opponent decided to dodge its activation) or Dragon Dance and Weakness Policy boost (+3 Attack). However, it's going to disappoint you when your opponent can just wall Dragonite with something like Mandibuzz or Skarmory, as they can break Multiscale with status or minor damage. Dragon Claw is kind of more advised on this set rather than on Lum Berry one due to the fact Outrage's locking effect and confusion afterwards can cut sweep short.

Choice Band.

Dragonite @ Choice Band
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Outrage
- Fire Punch
- Superpower
- Extreme Speed

Alternate moves: Earthquake or Iron Head over Superpower.
Personally, I'm fond of Superpower on this set due to the fact Dragons are somewhat short on Fighting moves, while Dark and Normal teams, which are weak to Fighting, give a lot of troubles to Dragons. Should this not concern you or one of your Pokemon is already carrying Fighting-type coverage, go with Earthquake. Iron Head is here due to the fact full-health Dragonite is the one of the most "bulkiest" Pokemon when it comes to taking Fairy-type moves, and Choice Band-boosted Iron Head HURTS.

Goodra (Dragon):

Assault Vest.

Goodra @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 212 HP / 252 SpA / 44 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Sludge Bomb
- Muddy Water

Alternate abilitiy: Gooey.
Our slimey goo dragon doesn't like taking physical hits, but Gooey helps in case if a very speedy physical threat pressures you (like scarfed Salamence). Sacrificing Goodra to make opposing threat slower might not be great idea, but it pays off if you happen to do that to Outrage-locked scarfed Salamence. Sap Sipper is great against Leech Seed, Sleep Powder and Spore moves users, while almost all of them are threatened by Fire Blast or Sludge Bomb.

Alternate moves: Dragon Pulse over Draco Meteor, Power Whip or Hidden Power Grass or Thunderbolt or Focus Blast or Dragon Tail over Muddy Water.
Dragon Pulse vs. Draco Meteor is a typical debate of consistency against power. Muddy Water mostly for Heatran, who is barely even scratched by the Draco Meteor, but it's also helpful for consecutive hits on stuff like Rock/Bugs. Power Whip or Hidden Power Grass target Water/Ground buddies; the former is also useful for Tyranitar. Thunderbolt helps against Empoleon and Suicune (Goodra is even EVed to outspeed latter) specifically. Focus Blast retains coverage on Heatran and hurts mainly lesser bulky Dark, Steel and Normal-type Pokemon. Dragon Tail is to punish set-up attempts after "dropping a draco" or if Goodra is not powerful enough to handle its current opponent.

Alternate nature: Quiet.
Solely for Power Whip. Watch out, as you cannot outspeed Suicune any longer and risk getting outsped by Scizor should it not Bullet Punch.

Hydreigon (Dragon):

Choice Scarf.

Hydreigon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Dark Pulse
- Draco Meteor
- Flash Cannon
- U-turn

Alternate spreads: Hasty Nature.
Having better time taking priority moves and Knock Off (in desperation) or tanking special hits is up for you. I prefer Naive because Hydreigon still takes special hits well enough.

Alternate moves: Fire Blast over Flash Cannon.
A tough pick here. With Flash Cannon you revenge kill Mega Diancie and Hydreigon is not a dead weight against Fairy teams. Fire Blast's main targets are Scizor and Ferrothorn, and it's best run only if your team is really strapped for Fire-type coverage.

P.S. I can give some Flygon and Haxorus sets if you need.

Monotype EV and Sets Compendium

Hello everyone, and welcome to Monotype's EV & Set compendium. This thread is a resource designed to assist old and new players alike in choosing the best EVs and sets for each Pokemon in Monotype.

I often see Bug types with an even amount of HP, or Charizard-Y on Fire teams running unnecessary Flying coverage when Defog would've been a better option. This resource sets out to inform players as to how to avoid making these sorts of mistakes while giving them the most optimal set. Hopefully, people can also discuss viable, and alternate sets and spreads for certain Pokemon. (A lot of these sets were taken from the Viability Rankings)

In this thread, you may suggest EV spreads and natures for Pokemon listed C and above (standard or otherwise). If the spread and nature you are suggesting is not standard, you must provide rationale for why these non-standard spreads are viable. Please do not suggest gimmicks, and please be polite when discussing spreads.

How to Contribute

Follow what I did here:
For Chansey (Normal)

Physically Defensive with Rocks

Chansey (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave / Toxic
- Soft-Boiled
- Seismic Toss

Alternate spreads: Bold, 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD (Checks Knock Off Landorus-I)
Alternate moves: Wish instead of Soft-Boiled, and Protect instead of Thunder Wave / Toxic.

Including additional spreads to speed creep these new EV spreads is discouraged (unless there is a specific target you are providing creep for), as speed creeping has to end at some point.

Always be sure to back up your argument with damage calculations (if applicable) or the speed of the Pokemon you are attempting to check or counter.

Hate how a nice writed analysis like the Zmeeed one got no likes at all, and the small suggestion of Sabella got 5 likes already (nothing again u man Sabella, just like a example)
We, like a monotype community, could be more welcome to new players/forum users even in little things like dat. Just my thought.

Be careful when you say "we" there are like 2 or 3 people that oversee the thread and likes are just likes.

That being said, I do think his sets and descriptions are actually very accurate and should be implemented into each mons hide tag. Good stuff zmeed

I'll add Zmeed's sets to the OPs now (assuming they aren't already there).
Hate how a nice writed analysis like the Zmeeed one got no likes at all, and the small suggestion of Sabella got 5 likes already (nothing again u man Sabella, just like a example)

Rawr. and Wanka bring up good points about being more welcoming (as a community) and not placing too much stock in likes (friends tend to like other friends posts).

I just wanted to say new players shouldn't be afraid to contribute to this, or any, project in this forum so long as you feel your post is well thought out! If the suggestions aren't up to snuff the established players will give you some constructive feedback. Everyone has to start somewhere.

Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunder Wave
- Energy Ball
- Defog

Alternative Moves: Tailwind over thunderwave; Psyshock over Energy ball (Though I've always pushed for energy ball/defog latias combo because a handful of the really annoying rock setters are weak to grass. Swampert, hippowdown.)
252 SpA Pixilate Mega Gardevoir Hyper Voice vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Roseli Berry Latias: 183-216 (50.2 - 59.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Yeah, you can switch in on a Mega gardevoir if the going gets tough and still be at the advantage. Faster defog if you need, t-wave play, or healing wish your wincon.
252+ Atk Choice Band Huge Power Azumarill Play Rough vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Roseli Berry Latias: 292-345 (80.2 - 94.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Also helps vs fairy, get the eball damage freely on azu before heal wishing kyurem or another wincon, putting azu in iron head range.

I would strongly recommend against Air Slash Mega Charizard Y because it doesn't actually hit anything meaningful and replaces a far more important moveslot.

Also a suicide Custap set should really have Taunt and should not have any bulk EVs instead of Attack/Speed EVs. Also, suicide Skarmory should never use Iron Head over Brave Bird because the point is to kill itself so Defog cannot be used. If it's not suicide, there's no reason to use Custap over Leftovers/Rocky Helmet.

Again, I'm uncertain if the double dance set should be mentioned. I'm not really sure if it should be added, because I don't know how much it would really help out poison.

On Scarf Drap, may want to include Ice Fang to check Garchomp, Landorus-I, ect (these guys especially threaten Poison quite a bit). Otherwise, job well done! :)

Good job on the sets, a small suggestion for the scarf set is Cross Poison > Poison Jab, since Cross poison is a high chance to crit plus Sniper is 1.5x times more aswell, its better off using cross poison at this point. Inb4 Scope lens too

I didn't want to include a crit set cause it doesnt get focus energy, plus it just seems gimmicky and unreliable.
